On Tuesday November 17, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a resolution in support of the World March. Marchers will be met by Supervisors at City Hall at 3:15 pm
Supervisor Mar, who introduced the resolution commented "I want to thank the organizers (of the World March) for recognizing the need to strengthen non-violence locally and globally and focus also on nuclear disarmament as well. I would urge my colleagues to support the resolution".
The culmination of the Cable Car ride through San Francisco will be a march from United Nations Plaza (at Market Street) up to City Hall for a reception with members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
All those interested in participating are invited to gather at the UN Plaza at 3:15. Following a short ceremony the march will continue on to City hall. More activities are planned on the steps of City Hall starting at 4 pm
The March will then continue on walking to the Unitarian Church at Franklin and Geary. The reception at the Unitarian Church will begin at 6:30 pm (Please note the Cable Car will be available for those who are not able to walk)
We have already filled the first cable car and we are now taking reservations for the second. The cost is $25. There is still plenty of room on the second one so if you would like join us please send an email to jshirley@aol.com

Please join us in receiving the Base Team of the World March at the Unitarian Church, at Franklin and Geary Street, in San Francisco for a reception, speakers, entertainment and an update on World March progress and highlights to date.
