Bio: Alan Moore received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from City College, studied molecular biology at the City Graduate Center and Hunter College in New York City, and taught qualitative analysis at Queens college as an Adjunct Prof. of Chemistry during his graduate studies.

His interest in promoting Earth stewardship began during the first Earth Day in New York City.

He become the founding coordinator for Common Cause in the 15 C.D. in Pennsylvania to promote environment causes by working for governmental reform and accountability and worked for Campaign Reform, the Sunshine Law, the Lobby Disclosure Act, & Finance Disclosure for public officials. He later became the Publicity Chairman for Common Cause of Pennsylvania.

In 1993 he founded the Butterfly Gardeners Association (BGA). Its mission was to make the butterfly a symbol for a sustainable environment, world peace, and the conscious evolution of the human race.

On June 26, 1997, the BGA was invited by the United Nations to release 400 butterflies for the Earth Summit +5. Other such events included a Healing Garden dedication & Butterfly Release for the City of Richmond at the Booker T. Anderson Jr. Community Center hosted by Mothers Against Senseless Violence, the world's largest butterfly release for Earth Day 99 with over 10,000 children participating, the Hague Appeal for Peace Convention in 1999 where the World Peace Candle was presented and Freed Schmitter released 100 white butterflies during a ceremony, the Tree Island Millennium Gathering in 1998 held at the Oregon Institute of Technology, the opening of the Contra Costa Earth Day Festival at the Concord Pavilion and Earth Day Berkeley at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in 1998, the Bioneers Conference of environmental visionaries at the Presidio in San Francisco in 1997, the Seventh Annual Armenia World Peace Festival with Pete Seeger and the Woodstock Festival Reunion in Bethel, NY in 1997, the Hiroshima-Nagasaki Memorial Observance for the fifty-second anniversary of the first use of atomic weapons at the Lincoln Memorial and at John Hopkins University in Baltimore followed by accompanying the Japanese peace delegation to the Pax Christi Convention at Catholic University as well as the Interfaith Peace Gathering commemorating Hiroshima-Nagaski at the New York Buddhist Church in 1997 to mention just a few.

Since Y2K he began to promote the butterfly as the "New Millennium Bug" representing personal and planetary transformation. He also invisioned the butterfly as a means to produce a 'Party for the Planet' to catalyze that transformation.

Since moving to Berkeley in January 1998 he has networked his BGA with organizations all over the world and has received endorsements from over 200 organizations and prominent leaders. In 1998 and 1999 he worked with Earth Day in Berkeley and Contra Costa and organized the raising and releasing of over 10,000 butterflies by school children in the East Bay alone. He has received honorary citations from the Pennsylvania Senate and House for work his work in raising global consciousness and in environmental education.

In January of 1999 he met Dr. Patch Adams in Berkeley. He proposed to set up Patch Adams Centers for Peace and Justice around the Bay area to promote environmental education, wildlife gardening for butterflies and humming birds, conservation, nonviolence reading programs, world peace, community service and organizing. Patch was thrilled and became honorary chairman of the BGA.

In September 2000 he founded Musicians and Fine Artists for World Peace. As of December, 2008 it had more than 3000 members, including Donovan, Melanie, Pattie LaBelle, Pete Seeger, the Dalai Lama, The New Rascals, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Patch Adams, Jean Houston & Dennis Kucinich. Please see the complete list at www.butterflyspirit.org/projects/mfawp_list.php

On Feb. 22, 2007 Atlanta: City of Peace www.ATLpeace.org elected him to be the chair of their Global Peace Concert to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream Speech."

He invisioned the butterfly as a means to promote a global awakening and that idea is spreading throughout the world. Deepak Chopra's Alliance for New Humanity held the Power of Oneness Conference in Puerto Rico on December 8-11, 2005 and Chopra used the imaginal cell concept from Norie Huddle's book Butterfly in their promo. This idea was also used by Barbara Marx Hubbard as the theme to her book "Conscious Evolution", by Elisabeth Sahtouris, Ph.D. in her work, and picked up in the Institute of Noetic Science's report called "What the Butterfly Knows" which concluded their research study on patterns of transformation from people's real-life experiences. Please see www.noetic.org/publications/review/issue52/r52_Thompson.html

This entire concept is outlined in his article entitled The Psychology Behind Saving the World with Butterflies.

His work has been published in newspapers, magazines, and several books. He is presently giving seminars with such titles as the Psychology Behind Saving the World with Butterflies, the Butterfly Effect: Personal Transformation in a Transforming World, Ushering in the Butterfly Era of Global Civilization, Transformation & Forgiveness and Butterflies, Synchronicites & Strange Atractors.

His story entitled Butterfly Magic and the Moody Blues was published in March 2002 by Arielle Ford in her new book entitled Magical Souvenirs-True Spiritual Adventures from Around the World.

"Music saved my life. It gave me a destination, a goal. I could use the yardstick of the great artists I studied to measure myself and see my own growth towards inner expression. It took me many years of struggle and study to produce a sound and tone I could even listen to myself. I am truly grateful for having the gift of my voice. It is a precious thing to me. Jazz has restored my creativity. When I am singing jazz, I feel completely free. I love the interplay and improvisation between musicians that happens naturally - everyone listens to one another. I wish our world leaders could study music, play together and come to peaceful understandings. Chanting also has distinct rhythm and is a form of vocal expression. It has strengthened my voice and has given me inner strength to continue in my creative life. And the fortune to become happy."

World Music, Magic, Dance and DivaRadio host

Bio: Fontain Riddle: Lyrics, arrangements, vocals, bass, electric sitar, joia, gongs, guitar Fontain has been playing music and singing since she was mini-diva. She grew up in the Washington, D.C. area with her five brothers, all Jazz musicians. Her family had formed close bonds with several Indian and Pakistani families in the neighborhood and a few of them were classical Indian musicians. On summer nights, after snacking on homemade spicy pakoras and masala tea, the families listened to each other play evening ragas with voices, sitars, harmoniums, tablas and sarodes. Everyone was encouraged to join in the music, especially young Fontain. Her family eventually moved away, but the seed of eastern music was planted deep in her heart. Earning her BFA at Ringling School of Art, near the training grounds for Ringling Brothers Circus, she was inspired by the circus life style and exotic customs and costumes of the traveling artists. She could not juggle, so she developed her skills in singing, guitar and writing lyrics and comedy skits. While she was a student, once a week was not enough "performing time" in the local open mike contests although she won them often with original songs and performances. She became an Eastern Onion Singing Telegram girl. She performed three to ten telegrams each day racing around town in a van full of costumes, ranging from "tap dancing cake" to "Wonder Woman". She interpreted the canned scripts and songs, re-wrote, and submitted new compositions the company still uses today.

A natural travel bug, she has made her way across forty-one states performing in variety show productions and novelty acts. On the road with Crazy Joe and the Rage, she performed and invented characters and comedy lyrics to spice up her time "doing time" as a top 40 cover band member. All writer/performers want more, more. She left the USA to find more in England, France, Thai Land, Malaysia, and Singapore. Writing, introspecting and studying, she found the music that was deeply Fontain. She returned with stories to tell. She returned to form Fontain's M.U.S.E. with her husband Farhan performing many kinds of venues in the San Francisco Bay Area.

She sometimes performs her original music, live for a play called Magique Bazaar. He brother Majinga, the Magician, performs his spirited magic as Fontain's M.U.S.E. provides the audio atmosphere. The show is new and different every month, so the challenge for this vocalist, musician and writer will ever flow unto itself like the fountain that is Fontain's M.U.S.E

Fontain and Farhan have enraptured audiences throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and San Diego with their mix of Improvisation, Alternative and Eastern styles since 2000. Fontain's M.U.S.E. has performed for the popular Sonoma County, Harmony Festival as well as Techno- Tribal Groove Temple. They have made many friends and fans appearing in their monthly theatrical show with the Magique Bazaar at the Historic Gas Lighter Theater. Recently, at the Monterey Summer of Love 40th Anniversary with Musicians for Peace, there was a rush to the stage as Fontain's M.U.S.E. began to play their song "Spiral Dance". They are a regular feature a annual events like Pagan Pride in Berkeley and Pantheacon in San Jose.

Last summer at Bala Yoga, a well-known Hollywood dance hall and health center they enchanted a full house of adoring fans. Performing for Burning Man in 2007 on Center Stage Camp and for San Fransisco Decompression Party has increased their popularity with this exciting and inovative community.

This dynamic duo's live performances can also include synchronized acrobats, magicians, stilt walkers, and muses of all varieties given the venue opportunities. A local favorite among belly dance schools, their performances always inspire the audience to join-in the fun and creativity.

Fontain's M.U.S.E. organized and participated in many events and fund raisers benefiting foundations and political, and social movements such as Code Pink, Veterens for Peace, Guitars not Guns, Daniel Pearl World Music Peace Days, Congressman Dennis Kucinich's campaign for the presidancy, Musicians and Fine Artists for World Peace events in support of the Department of Peace Campaign, Resewww.beatmagic.comwww.beatmagic.comerch for Chilhood Diabetes, KKUP World Music Marathon, The American Cancer Society, and many more.

Fontain Riddle: Spirited vocalist, songwriter and instrumentalist Fontain Riddle combines cultures, dreams and a keen interpretation of life's experiences to evolve her music. Her inspiration comes from eastern philosophy, politics, dancers, jazz, friends, books, even bad love experiences. Having been raised in the internationally diverse Washington D.C. area, Fontain's early musical influences were formed by the close bonds she made with several Indian and Pakistani neighbors who played Indian classical and folk music at family gatherings. She went on to perform professionally through high school at local Sarasota jazz cafes and restaurants. After earning her BFA from Ringling School of Art, she toured nationally performing for audiences throughout 46 States and internationally, including countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and France. She returned state side to earn her masters and through a grand note of synchronicity she met Farhan Khan during music engineering class and the story continues…

Farhan Khan: Beat and groove producer Farhan Khan is originally from Karachi, Pakistan. He plays sitar, guitar and bass guitar fluently. His unique style has created a perfect balance between East and West for Fontain's M.U.S.E. with his intense dance grooves, and multinational instrumentation captivating the modern listener. He is a sitar student of the internationally famous Habib Khan and is a graduate of Musicians Institute in Hollywood California and has earned his BA in music engineering from Cogswell College in Sunnyvale California. East meets West in the left and right hands of Farhan Khan and the story continues…

Their collaboration and creation, Mystic Kiss is a blend of diverse styles including world-beat, new age, pop, electronica and jazz. Like Gypsies, each track travels to an exotic horizon and exposes the listener to a unique sonic experience that is both powerful and soothing. Radiating with hypnotic lyrical themes and infectious melody hooks that span the spectrum of spiritual, thought-provoking, psychedelic, move your body experience!

The First track "Sacred Geometry" on the Mystic Kiss CD has won an honorable mention award in Billboard 14th annual World Song Competition.+

I am honored and excited to join the board of Musicians and Fine Artists for World Peace.

Bio: Anthony Singing Bear is a multi faceted renaissance man who has travels the world with his guitar, offering inspiration, creativity and a message of community. He received a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Oregon where he first learned about organic farming, alternative energy sources, environmental architecture and intentional communities.

After graduating college and before he was 21 years old, he started an organic farm and intentional community of his own in Athens, OH. There Anthony lived in a rustic Teepee and cultivated 5 acres of vegetables operating one of the first SCA's (Community Supported Agriculture) in southeastern Ohio. During that time he became involved in several community projects including a seed savers group, permaculture and medicinal herb workshops, political activism, and
farmer's markets. In 2000, he began organizing musical events and performances that focused on community empowerment and peace activism, and found that he had a talent for public speaking and song writing.

After 3 years on the farm, music and activism began to pull him into towns and cities more. Anthony attended graduate school in Athens, Ohio where he taught mathematics and studied economic models of sustainability, including a very specific model for cooperatively owned insurance as a method for community sovereignty. His music and activism eventually dominated his focus, and, in November of 2005, he was drawn to move to San Francisco to pursue music full time. In the big city,

Anthony took his spirit name Singing Bear, given to him by his mother as a rite of passage, and became involved in healing modalities of music at Sera Soma studios and Akashic Records. Since 2005, he has performed almost 200 times in California, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii, performing at festivals, farmers markets, ashrams, temples, bars, cafes, and wherever he can. His songs have been featured in several short films and compared to such musicians as Brett Dennen, Rusted Root, Ben Harper, and Shimshai.

Singing Bear's activism focus has become embodied in his music. He sings for the bears, donating 10% of profits from CD sales to the Great Bear Foundation, and offers his uplifting songs to hospitals, homeless shelters, and every street corner in the world
with the hopes of inspiring others to sing and dance and celebrate life. Singing Bear is being recognized more and more for his ability to create a very high uplifting soul-moving space with his music, and now is being invited to perform all over the world. He has recently taken the helm of the Chrysalis Project, an effort to bring healing music to hospitals, homeless shelter, prisons, orphanages, and anywhere people really need it. The Chrysalis Project through Musicians and Fine Artists for World Peace aim to fund artists and musicians to do this very important work -- offering spiritual nourishment and creative inspiration to those who are starving for connection and purpose.

In peace, Patch

Bio: Medical doctor; Clown; Performer; Social Activist; Founder and Director of the Gesundheit Institute, a holistic medical community that has provided free medical care to thousands of patients since it began in 1971; Author of Gesundheit! & House Calls; Moving Speaker.

"Extraordinary! One man I can look up to and respect," "Incredibly mind blowing and memorable," and "Incredibly inspiring, amazing human being, invaluable to hear him first hand" are among the words heard from participants after experiencing Patch Adams, the real person behind the hit movie Patch Adams, starring Robin Williams.

Patch is both a medical doctor and a clown, but he is also a social activist who has devoted 30 years to changing America's health care system, a system which he describes as expensive and elitist.

He believes that laughter, joy and creativity are an integral part of the healing process and therefore true health care must incorporate such life. Doctors and patients in his model relate to each other on the basis of mutual trust, and patients receive plenty of time from their doctors. Allopathic doctors and practitioners of alternative medicine will work side by side. If you think that all sounds like a utopian impossibility, it isn't. Patch and his colleagues practiced medicine at the Gesundheit Institute together in West Virgina that way for 12 years in what he calls their pilot project. They saw 15,000 patients. Patch Adams has devoted his life to the study of what makes people happy.

Through the success of this program at the Arlington, Virginia location, a model health care facility is being planned on 310 acres purchased in Pocahontas County, WV. The Institute will include a 40-bed hospital, a theater, arts and crafts shops, horticulture and vocational therapy. Over five years ago, Dr. Adams and staff temporarily stopped seeing patients so that they could coordinate plans for raising $5 Million needed for the Institute's permanent and expanded home, a model health care community. Currently planned is an immediate phase of this dream, a $400,000 WV facility so that their medical service to patients can resume within the next two years.

The Institute addresses, by action, four major issues in health care delivery: the rising cost of care, dehumanization of medicine, malpractice suits, and abuses of third-party insurance system.

Dr. Adams adds to his training as a physician, his experience as a street clown. In working with health and mental health professionals, he explores the relationship between humor and therapy using his unique blend of knowledge, showmanship and hands on teaching techniques. Says Dr. Adams, I interpret my experience in life as being happy. I want, as a doctor, to say it does matter to your health to be happy. It may be the most important health factor in your life.

Patch Adams, M.D., is a nationally known speaker on wellness, laughter, and humor as well as on health care and health care systems. He approaches the issues of personal, community, and global health with zestful exuberance, according to Time Magazine. Dr. Adams believes that the most revolutionary act one can commit in our world is to be happy.

Thank you very much, I'm honored to join your board. I'm uplifted like the wings of a butterfly. I love the statements and am confident I could handle the monthly conferences and whatever editing/PR the organization needs on occasion.

I'm a "conscious music" publicist for Organically Grown Music and others, and wanted to share the news about their label with your organization, as they seem to be very like-minded. They are also in Northern California, in Grass Valley, CA, but play around the NoCal area.

Thank you for that amazing story, and for the wonderful invitation. I had the good luck to speak with Joni Mitchell during a Grammy after-party; it was shortly after 9-11. I practically begged her to do a new album to give hope, voice and spirit to the peace community. Hopefully, the times, they are a changin'

Bio: Beth Ann Hilton is an entrepreneur, writer and activist. She is president/founder of The B Company, a marketing & communications firm based in Studio City, CA. She consults independent musicians and filmmakers on attainable and sustainable ways to market their art out to the world.

Clients include Organically Grown Music, Ram Dass' Cosmix, AOMusic, Only New Age Music, Bantam Street Films, Jeffrey Fisher, Ola Gjeilo, Dr. James Hopkins and more. Past clients included Nettwerk Records, Orange Peal Records, Higher Octave, Lava Records, Movie Tunes Inc., and Non Profit Music. Hilton maintains ongoing relationships with major brands like Starbucks and Coca Cola as well as non-profit organizations such as The Weingart Center, The Variety Club, Doctors Without Borders, YouthAids, and, of course, Musicians and Fine Artists for World Peace.

Hilton believes her activism began when, at age 8, she and her little brother phoned Shillington Town Hall to complain about the local developers who were plowing over the homes of her animal friends to build new homes for people…in her mind, one did not take precedence over the other. She eventually departed the still lush Pennsylvania countryside to attend Temple University's School of Communications and Theatre. Armed with her BA, she become an associate editor at Advanstar Communications in New York, and soon became the youngest managing editor in the history of the company, winning seven editorial excellence awards for the fashion trade magazine BFiA/H&U. Rowland Worldwide -- a top-five public relations firm owned by the world-renowned marketing firm of Saatchi and Saatchi - came knocking, and Hilton began contributing fashion marketing communications for several of their premiere clients.

A nature-lover since birth, Hilton was unsettled by the lack of "green" plants and flowers in New York. She determined to start anew in Los Angeles, loving the combination of nature and commerce that L.A. offered. Her interest in the city's music scene led her to a position in Business and Legal Affairs at the premiere music reissue/compilation company, Rhino Entertainment. When the company was sold, she transitioned to Manager of Communications & Promotions for Warner Music Group, Inc., where she was responsible for creating partnerships and strategic promotions for the company's Atlantic, Elektra, Lava, Maverick, Warner Bros./Reprise, Warner Nashville, WEA Latina, and Rhino Record labels. Such programs often included WMG's Time Warner sister companies like AOL, Time Inc., CNN, Warner Bros., and Turner, Inc. During her six years at WMG, Beth gained a reputation for creating and maintaining client relationships by consistently producing successful marketing communications campaigns. She left the company in 2002 to start a family, and to further her vision for a conscious communications company, The B Company.

Hilton has always made time to balance career with activism. She was active in NOW in New York City in the 1980s, and acted as President of WILPF in Los Angeles in the '90s.

I played and helped organize the Concerts For Wounded Knee in Woodstock, NY, and then later all the Longest Walk Concerts, with Pete Seeger, Bonnie Raitt, Peter Yarrow, Richie Havens, Buff Saint Marie, David Amram, and many others..... The No Nukes Concert Series, where we played at The Woodstock Playhouse before the big fire with Peter Yarrow, Allen Harris and others....

Bio: Professional Singer/Songwriter/Musician/Actor/Producer/Promoter/Entrepreneur

Jay Jourden is a songwriter's songwriter. He always has a way of connecting his listeners to whatever he's singing about. From his early dance tracks of the late 70's (Dance, Dance, Dance, With Me 1979) to his current folk/rock/blues/country/pop political tribute songs of today, he reaches you and you get the message.

He has appeared in concerts nationwide and world wide, appeared on radio and television, at hundreds of benefit shows for such diverse groups/causes as The American Indian Movement (lifetime member), The National Society For The Prevention Of Blindness, No Nukes, Ross Perot, New Jersey & National GOP, Rainy Day Inc., the list goes on...

After writing the song "Wounded Knee" (1972), he performed at all of the Wounded Knee and The Longest Walk concerts (1972-1978) for The American Indian Movement in Woodstock, New York, Washington, DC, and around the country. At the No Nukes Concerts Series, he performed in front of thousands who sang along
to "No More Nukes" the song he wrote for the shows.

He has also appeared with and/or knows Arlo Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bonnie Raitt, Richie Havens, Stevie Wonder, Buffie Saint Marie, The Thunderbirds, Michael Cornett and The Flow Family Band, The Allen Harris Band, The Jim Atlee Group, The Band, Chango (Bearsville Records, 1973, Woodstock, NY + ABC Dunhill Records), Robbie Dupree, Dr. John, Ricky Skaggs, Muhammad Ali, Gerardo Velez, Martha Velez & Jerry Moore, Don Moore, Raif Denktas, (Gorrilla Guru, 1979), Rob Turner (Life Force),Otis Smith, Michael Royal, Hott Traxx ( Dance, Dance, Dance, With Me & Don't Get Lost In The Dark 1978), and others.

In the late 80's and early 90's he began branching out with his musical endeavors with political support radio/tv commercial soundtracks for various PACS and other Republican Party Coalitions with the songs "Florio Has Got To Go" 1989, and later all of the "Florio Free In '93" commercials for the Christine Todd Whitman Gubernatorial Campaign that she won. It was reported in the press that his songs helped win that election.

During this time, he also formed Rainy Day Inc. a not for profit corporation with the specific mandate to put on concerts and musical events for natural disaster victims and their families. Working with FEMA, the American Red Cross and other agencies, he put on the Disaster Relief '96 Concert Series Tour where headliners from across the country performed. The hit "When The Rains Came" was written at this time and received substantial airplay nationally.

For these efforts, and other projects he has worked on over the years, he has received numerous letters of recognition/support/commendation from such notable political figures as Rudolph Guliani, Former New York Governor George Pataki, the late Senator Pat Moynihan, New York State Senator Charles Cook, Bill Clinton, and others.

When Ross Perot ran for president, he called upon him, a fellow Texan, to write for, produce, and perform at his rallies. He wrote the working man's theme song "Enough's Enough" (1993) He performed at a rally at Flemington Int'l Speedway, Flemington, New Jersey that drew 43,000 supporters and received extensive national media coverage.

Bob Dole also had music produced for his campaign, however, because of technicalities, couldn't be released in time for the GOP.

Deriving his talent from a background of incredibly diverse situations, he has constantly improved his songwriting abilities and honed his craft on the American public's ears chasing that songwriter's elusive dream: a gold record.

"Sometimes it's the luck of the draw.....I have several close friends who have platinum records on their walls..." "my number will pop one day, I truly believe this..."

"I've been close a couple of times" "and I'll always write and perform no matter what. I love music. All kinds of music. It's what the world needs to heal. It's in my blood, I grew up around and in music because my mother was a famous Jazz singer in the 50's - 2007 when I lost her to old age."

Jay Jourden had the good fortune to grow up on the road around some of the real heavy weights of "Old School" Jazz. Greats like Ornette Coleman, Rahsan Roland Kirk, Pharoh Sanders, Randy Weston, Dizzy Gillespie, Yusef Lateef, Elvin Jones, Billy Mitchell, Dexter Gordon, and too many others to mention.

"My mother took me to all the famous Jazz clubs when I was very young, whenever she was singing, like the Five Spot, and Slugs on the lower east side of NY." "These people were all my mother's friends and the jam sessions at our house(s) were amazing! I soaked it all up like a sponge and that's why my music is so diverse. When you really listen to my music, you can hear many different genres, melodies, and rhythms."

Jourden says he feels blessed and extremely lucky to have gotten the influences he has at such an early age. It's helped shape his life as a performing artist, survivor, and an activist in whatever cause he has at the moment. Watch for his next move.

Currently, I'm co-producing The International Benefit For The Bears Concert Series with/for URSA Freedom Project http://ursafreedomproject.ning.com and have a PSA commercial out in Australia & Asia for Moonbears.org with the sound track of "Mafis' Song (Song of the Moonbear" the Flagsong of URSA Freedom Project.

I'm also working on several cd projects for worldwide distribution with different bands, and touring and performing as a Solo Artist...

Daniel Dancer
In Concert With Nature

POB 693, Mosier, OR 97040
541-506-5004
dancer@artforthesky.com
www.artforthesky.com
www.inconcertwithnature.com

Bio: Daniel conducts week-long residencies with schools and communities called Art For the Sky. He works with hundreds of people at a time who each become individual "paint drops" in giant living paintings of images that only make sense from the sky. This art form dates back over two thousand years to the famous Nazca Lines of Peru.

The famous philosopher, Emanuel Kant said that if human evolution is going to continue man must evolve from homo sapiens into new beings he called, homo neumana . . . "beings who have learned to see the whole first." In a nut shell, that is the core teaching of this art form. Just as these sky art images make no sense on the ground, so it is with the problems that confront us as individuals and as a society. Creative solutions live in the big picture view. We must couple our imaginations with our psychic wings to get above our problems and harvest the creative energy that resides there. This temporary art also demonstrates the power of many individuals coming together as ONE to create something beautiful as well as the importance of embracing impermanence. To visit his sky gallery see: www.artforthesky.com

On November 6, 2008, Dancer created a giant 'living painting' of an endangered Mission Blue Butterfly 100 ft long on the Presidio Middle School playing field in San Francisco made up of over 300 children, teachers and community members, including local activist Alan Moore. "The program that Daniel Dancer is bringing to the Presidio Middle School this Thursday will be an inspiration for these kids for years to come," says Moore." Whenever you bring butterflies into the classroom, from art to the environment, the children respond amazing well," Moore adds. "Butterflies are environmental indicators for global warming, food safety, pesticide misuse, deforestation, habitat destruction and many other issues and have been key components of violence reduction programs in many cities. Just look at all the butterfly images on peace walls and murals you will find across the bay area, including the City of Richmond." Please see photos and story at http://passion.edu/elearn/mod/resource/view.php?id=1705

On January 8, 2009 on a Southside Chicago playing field, 800 youth and teachers braved extreme cold and snow to become living paint drops in a 12,000 square foot, smiling portrait of President Elect Obama with the word "YES!" underneath formed by recycled cans. This was the ultimate "green" Obama art image and the only one of him made of people. Dressed in black, white and red, participants became "human drops of paint" in an image that only made sense from the sky . . . one of the main teachings of this fascinating art form which dates back 2500 years to the Nazca Desert of Peru. This event was the culmination of a 5 day Art For the Sky school residency. And like the many animals and endangered species Dancer has helped other schools to create, Obama Sky was a gift from participants from Earth to Sky in gratitude for all the blessings of. And in this case, it is also a huge and historic endorsement of America's first African-American president, a way for Chicago youth and teachers to inaugurate Mr. Obama in their own, special, earthly way . . . the largest Obama art yet created on our soon to be president's home turf.

"This was an absolutely incredible and historic undertaking by our schools to participate in a highly unique and ancient art form to celebrate America's first African-American president." -Vaida Williams, Alex Haley School Principal

"Only from the point of view of eagles and clouds can we truly make sense of the problems we face as a society. Our highest creative potential lives in this big picture view of the world which I call our "skysight". Each sky art event is an attempt to awaken this way of seeing. Being an equal part of something magnificent, like Obama Sky, is a life-changing event that participants will remember and refer back to their whole lives." Daniel Dancer

Daniel is the author of Shards and Circles: Artistic Adventures in Spirit and Ecology, a 12 year oddessy of creating healing art in endangered ecosystems from found materials. Daniel has a MA in Human Development and lives in an earth-sheltered home in Rowena Wilds, a model eco-development he founded on 200 acres in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Daniel's photographs have been published in hundreds of books and magazines world wide.

Shawn Gallaway

Nashville, TN 37221
shawn@shawngallaway.com

www.shawngallaway.com
www.myspace.com/shawngallaway

Bio: Shawn Gallaway's mission is empowering people to take caring, positive action in their lives and in the world right now. He accomplishes this with resounding clarity through his music and art. As a multi-talented guitarist, singer-songwriter, and visual artist, Shawn weaves music, song, and painting into a richly textured experience that calls for enlightened activism.

Shawn's relationship with music began as a junior in high school when he was given a guitar for Christmas. After about six months of lessons, he discovered his love of writing songs. While completing his major in Business Management at Babson College, Shawn continued to nurture his passion for music. He formed a band, playing local clubs and parties, and eventually moved to New York to learn the music business and become a songwriter.

Nashville became Shawn's home base, from which he spent the next twenty years writing, recording, and performing across the nation in venues including the Broadway Music Hall in Seattle, Portland's Living Enrichment Center, Diana Wortham Theater in Asheville, NC, and Nashville's Belcourt Theatre. He also became a successful composer with E.M.I. and Sony Tree publishing credits.

During his time in Nashville, Shawn also began painting. He took a course from a teacher who believed that there is a master artist inside each of us, thus freeing the minds and expectations of her students. Shawn began to use painting as a tool for healing and self-expression that carried over into writing songs as well. He found that each medium complimented and empowered the other. Shawn explains, "I started painting and drawing while recovering from a bout with depression and eventually turned to visual art as the means to restore my sanity and to deepen into the exploration of my Spirit. As the process evolved, my work became more specific, revealing images that I had previously been unable to vocalize or turn into songs. As I began to heal, words and music began to flow freely…at first a trickle, then a stream, then a waterfall of song."

In 2005, Shawn relocated to the mountains of Asheville, NC to live the dream of creating his music and art as a vehicle to empower individuals to joyful, loving action. He continues to perform his music nationally, presents I Choose Love: The Experience workshops, and inspires audiences as a motivational speaker.

I Choose Love: The Experience is a multimedia production that follows the soul's healing journey through pain, confusion and struggle to emerge into the freedom of self-awareness, purpose, compassion, and joy. It includes songs, stories, dance, drama, photography, computer animation, film, and a series of original paintings that brings together the love of eight individuals as they transform their fears into a beautiful mosaic of forgiveness, peace and healing. This theatrical piece can be viewed currently at www.ichooselove.org

In his latest release, Love Will Overcome, Shawn moves from the individual healing focus of his previous release, I Choose Love, to address global healing and restoration. Shawn says, "It is about raising awareness and empowering people to take action". These songs highlight healing in the peace movement, the environment, our political system, communities and relationships and are delivered with a passionate plea for loving action. This recording features theme songs written for organizations including the Peace Alliance, New Energy Movement, Go Gratitude, and the Satyana Institute.

Norie Huddle
Author of Butterfly and founder of Garden of Paradise

nhuddle@frontiernet.net

Norie Huddle is a published author of five books (two more in the works) and numerous articles, a professional interviewer, a popular and highly respected public speaker and an organizational and creative consultant to private industry, government and academia. She is the Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Center for New National Security, a nonprofit corporation established in Washington, D.C. in 1979.

Huddle is actively committed to designing and supporting projects in peacemaking on a local to global scale. In the early 1960s, she was an exchange student in Italy for a year, under the auspices of the American Field Service. Since her graduation from Brown University (1966), she has been establishing a network of cooperative working relationships with government officials, leaders in private industry, the media and academia, and creative strategists and problem-solvers around the world.

In her endeavors as a "peacemaker," Huddle has lived and traveled abroad extensively. A former Peace Corps Volunteer from Colombia, South America, Huddle worked for two years at the community level, designing and implementing training programs for women. Huddle lived in Japan for four years while she researched and wrote, with Michael Reich, Island of Dreams: Environmental Crisis in Japan. She worked closely with Japanese environmental and consumer groups, and helped organize the nonpartisan group, "Japan Plus 20." to look at long range social, political and environmental issues and trends in Japan and Southeast Asia. Huddle has also visited the Soviet Union frequently, to attend conferences and conduct interviews with a wide range of Soviet citizens concerning their perspectives on national and global security, and to meet with Soviet entrepreneurs and design joint ventures.

A lifelong student of America and the American people, Huddle has also traveled throughout the United States. In 1977, she wrote Travels with Hope, the account of "Project America 1976," a crosscountry bicycle trip which she organized upon her return from Japan in 1975. Project America involved a dozen Americans and Japanese who spent nine months bicycling across the United States from Santa Barbara to Philadelphia, during the American Bicentennial. It was during this time that Huddle began asking Americans about their lives and work, their hopes and ideas for creating a positive future.

From 1979-83, Huddle interviewed over 400 people from all walks of life about their positive visions of the future and their ideas for how to make America and the world more secure. Surviving: The Best Game on Earth, published by Schocken Books, is a compendium of 30 of these interviews. It has been widely reviewed and well received. One reviewer commented, "This is the first time I have weighed the issues of global survival without feeling futility or despair. Instead, reading this collection of interviews on the subject has been an inspiring look at the power of individual effort. If this book, and others like it, were introduced into the curricula of school systems worldwide, a shift toward more planetary cooperation might well occur." Library Journal selected Surviving as one of the top 100 books in the United States in the area of science and technology (1984); Surviving also was on the New York Time's longer bestseller list.

Creative cooperation is the key to Norie Huddle's success as she engages with individuals, groups and organizations in alliances to forward their work and create new agendas in the pursuit of personal and global excellence. Huddle conducts seminars in teambuilding, problem-solving, communications skills, values and goals clarification, productive relationship skills and stress management. She employs state-of-the-art video feedback and learning techniques. She teaches the interdisciplinary KEEPRAH Holistic Approach to Community Development, mindmapping, goal setting, values clarification, strategic planning, leadership training, personal and group dynamics, creative problem solving and designing and facilitating meetings.

Huddle has shared her skills and thought-provoking perspectives on television and radio in the United States, Japan (in Japanese) and the Soviet Union (in Russian). In Japan, she has spoken to radio and television audiences of over 10 million and to live audiences of up to 10,000. She has been interviewed for and has written feature articles for all the leading Japanese daily newspapers and many of their weekly and monthly magazines, as well as for several leading Soviet publications. She has led seminars or made presentations to such diverse organizations as the United Nation's Conference on Population (NGO Forum) held in Bucharest, the Commonwealth Club (San Francisco), the Women's Executive Club (Washington, D.C.), the National Organization of Women, the United States Army, Lorton Prison, the Whole Life Expo (New York and San Francisco), Princeton University, Villanova, the University of California (Riverside), Catholic University and The American University (Washington, D.C.), and to a variety of church congregations and schools (first through 12th grades). She is a warm, humorous and genuine individual who inspires her audiences with her enthusiasm, intelligence and determination to contribute to the wellbeing of all. She gives presentations in a variety of languages including Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Italian.

In March of 1990, Huddle set up Huddle Books as the publishing division of CNNS, for the purpose of publishing future works related to national and global security.

On Earth Day 1990, she published her fourth book, Butterfly, a "tiny tale of great transformation" which sets forth a global myth for our times. Butterfly is beautifully illustrated by artist Charlene Madland. In June of 1991, Huddle Books published Huggles, an environmental coloring book for children, also written by Huddle and illustrated by Madland. Huddle is currently completing Money, Power and Purpose, which presents bold new ideas for redesigning economic and social systems.

Huddle is the founder of The Best Game on Earth, an experiment in "electronic democracy" designed to support collaborative and innovative approaches to solving global problems. Beginning in 1992, Huddle has been a frequent interviewer and guest host on The Best Game on Earth, a weekly cable television show produced in Salina, KS.

Huddle began an eight-year project to conduct a Global Oral History on video, launching this at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), held in Brazil, in June of 1992. In preparation for this, she conduced similar interviews with Ministers of the Environment from the Carribbean region at a conference sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency in Puerto Rico (March, 1992) and again with top environmental managers from around the world at an EPA-sponsored conference in Vienna (August, 1992). www.noetic.org/publications/review/issue52/r52_Thompson.html

Dear Alan, YES, of course, I am happy to join the other imaginals in the creation of this new butterfly of love, joy, peace, and fulfillment. For what else was I, were we, created? What more wonderful thing to do with this one precious life than to consciously join the Great Creator in this uplifting evolution. I would be glad to be on your honorary or indigenous boards. Many thanks. For All My Relations, Brooke Medicine Eagle, Chalise

Bio: " . . .the bridge into a new time must be a bridge of light; and thus all colors, all races, All Our Relations must be included in that bridge for the rainbow to form an arch across the chasm." *

Brooke Medicine Eagle is a Native American metis - an Earth wisdom teacher and catalyst for wholeness, ceremonial leader, sacred ecologist, Feng Shui practitioner, singer/songwriter, recording artist and author of a spiritual autobiography, Buffalo Woman Comes Singing. . Her beauty way awakens physical and spiritual health, offers Native American music and chants, promotes ritual honoring of Earth cycles, provides women's mystery teachings, and creates a sustainable, holy path for two-leggeds to walk. Her dedication is to bringing forward the ancient truths concerning how to live a fully human life in harmony with All Our Relations as we approach the crossroads into a golden age.

Brooke's new book, The Last Ghost Dance, which focuses on the practices of Earth magic and ascending into our greater humanity is now available. . Her new Wakantia training will awaken and challenge you to the next level of being human -- as an Earth Mage living in harmony and grace upon a renewed Earth.

At home in the beautiful Flathead Valley of Montana and in the White Mountains of Arizona, Brooke is the creator of Eagle Song, a series of spiritually-oriented wilderness camps; and is the founder of the FlowerSong Project, which promotes a sustainable, ecologically-sound path upon Mother Earth for seven generations of children.

Brooke's primary interest is in the renewal of ancient ritual forms for creating a beautiful path upon Mother Earth, today and for the future. To this end she is creating an in-depth training, Wakantia , to offer the opportunity for a deepening of Spirit which awakes us to an ascended level of humanity through committed practice and community.

Although of mixed heritage, her tribal enrollment is through the Crow Indian tribe in Montana. She has native blood from the Lakota and Nez Perce peoples, as well as ancestors from Europe. She teaches from her primary identification as a global family Earthkeeper -- a sacred path dedicated to nurturing and renewing the Circle of Life through the growth and healing of our two-legged family upon Mother Earth. She walks this beauty path in a way which combines non-traditional Earth Wisdom with a strong dedication to learning from the ancient voices which speak through Mother Earth and Father Spirit.

Recently she has been learning more about her Celtic roots through Scot and Irish ancestry, and has begun Song of the Nations - a series of learning opportunities, gatherings, councils, and Confluences sponsored by Feathered Pipe Foundation. Though these she creates unity and service with teachers and participants from many traditions around the world.

For the past several years, Brooke has been doing less public work and more personal spiritual work to clear herself and open to the next level of understanding for sharing with others. White Buffalo Woman, one of her guides, is sending through information about creating new kinds of gatherings which go much beyond our current form of workshops and conferences (Wakantia and Confluences and are two of these new and transformative kinds of gatherings). Brooke's current focus is on ancient information concerning the great and positive changes possible for our two-legged family to create as we move through the millennium to the prophetic turning of the Ages sometime around 2010-2012.

Brooke spends part of her year helping to ready Rainbow Hearth sanctuary in Texas as a place help others find transformative time for themselves. Through her own retreat time, Brooke has developed a great appreciation for the power of this kind of quieting. She says, "As we move into this new time, it is not about figuring out anything or even doing something different; the most important thing is to release old and unworkable patterns at the baseline of our consciousness, and to align with the heart of our truest and deepest Self. This will mean, then, that the great energies coming to Earth in the next decade can energize what we really want - what is positive and magical - rather than magnifying the past programs of limitation, stress and disharmony that we have been playing out."

Through all her work, Brooke invites you to heal yourself by taking spiritual action in service of All Our Relations.

I was really astonished by you work with the butterflies and the work you represent...many blessings...may we all walk in beauty.

Bio: Bennie E LeBeau, Sr., Elder, BlueThunder is an enrolled tribal member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe, Wind River Indian Reservation, Ft Washakie, Wyoming. Blue Thunder has had many years of experience in indigenous tradition and culture within the Eastern Shoshone Tribe. Through the encouragement of his Eastern Shoshone Elders, he studied Cultural Anthropology and Applied Indigenous Studies at Northern Arizona University, located in Flagstaff, AZ. Studying the scientific methods of communication at NAU, which now has allowed Mr. LeBeau to speak from a truly Native American perspective. Educational wisdom of the Indigenous wisdom has helped him to cross reference the wisdom from two worlds. Native American's laws of nature and the Institutional Education systems of the world at large have opened Indigenous Perspectives. This wisdom and knowledge can now be proven in scientific theory. This proof can now be taken into consideration that he believes can help changed in the educational institutional classrooms. Teaching natures laws and how the actions of humanity across America and the world have impacted nature by man made laws.

Mr. LeBeau, Blue Thunder is a member of the Spiritual Elders of Mother Earth, an organization of indigenous prophecy seed carriers of North America [ http://www.spiritualelders.org ]. In this capacity, he helps introduce and educate Indigenous Nations along with other cultures on the significance of sacred sites and the indigenous prophecies. His present emphasis is:

*To inform all cultures of the importance of protecting and preserving all Indigenous Nations Sacred Sites within the United States of America's, including the world at large.

*Re-educating the general public of the great significance of sacred sites that keep the earth working in harmony within the electrical magnetic energy fields. The life force of the planet.

*Blue Thunder is a messenger in interpreting the landscapes of these sacred sites purposes.

*He stresses the importance of the language written within stone images in the many Holy Lands that are currently and rapidly disappearing around the world due to uncontrolled land construction and development.

Native American rock art sites, as well as other sites around the world provide a tremendous amount of important knowledge and wisdom: Which can be combined and re-taught to other traditions and cultures of the world. The wisdom given in his traditions and in the dreamtime has given him the tools and a foundation that allow him to interpret many rock art texts; the pictures written in stone (petroglyphs- rock art). These rock art images explain historical events that have occurred in the past, can happen in the present or are about to happen in the future. Additionally, medicine people: shamans, priests, priestesses, knowledgeable men/women find important ceremonial, traditional explanations of nature's laws in the ancient rock art.

These sacred sites help to remind him to remember the ancient healing ceremonies on Mother Earth. The ancient wisdom of the universe for 'all things' that have been lost through the ages. Wisdom existing side by side helps him to remember what has happened in the past still exits today by our actions in the present as we carry many negative aspects of histories actions forward. The history of the past actions that has disharmonized Mother Earth can be reharmonized by sound and vibration. This means we can heal all that has happened for the future in purity, with integrity, love, peace and trust for all nations for the future. Bring about a great abundance in subsistence repairing the surface of Mother Earth's sacred sites.

Blue Thunder believes there is a great need to undertake thoughtful visionary actions at all sacred sites as part of a spiritual learning experience. Rebalancing nature regaining the wisdom to bring harmony in our actions by humanity: Not only for one, but also for all things that we have a relationship as stewards upon Mother Earth. By working side by side with Mother Earth has taught him the healing processes in many sacred homelands bring nature into harmony. Bring back the rain, snow, rivers, lakes and springs for all of creation in purity. There is a need for wisdom of the tangible and intangible spiritual aspects of all life on our Mother, the Earth. Blue Thunder represents our true Mother the Earth giver of life as Father Sky, charged by the light of Rainbows raining down upon all of creation by the Creator within the Central Sun.

The Universal creation is known as the not so mysterious now when we can see the connection to many cultures and traditions wisdom's across this planet. The Truth has been written in the stone writings in our original instructions of the great visions of the past in knowledge. Helping us move into the future that is present now. Indigenous Nations of the America's Creation Stories are written in Rock Art across the world's sacred sites. Its direction for mankind tells us how to stay in balance and in harmony with nature and all conscious life upon our sacred Mother the Earth. Blue Thunder works with the universal laws, spiritual laws known as nature's laws. Healing what man made laws have disharmonized the harmony that once resided on the surface of Mother Earth. Teaching now is the time in re-educating and asking for this knowledge and wisdom to be considered for the health of Mother Earth. Teaching and reminding humanity of the powerful wisdom of creation, powerful wisdom and knowledge for the many cultures of the world for peace to prevail.

Dear Alan, Thank you for the invite to be officially on your board of directors for Musicians and Fine Artists for World Peace. I am truly humbled and honored to be part of your butterfly peace force and will do my best to uphold our visions and missions of bringing happiness and world peace to the people of Earth. ! The butterfly represents freedom as well as change, and these are the two most important elements for societies to recognize and act on for the world to be a better place, for all and not just a select few. Furthermore, the fact about caterpillars cells coming together to form one beautiful creature is one of my philosophies, and that is : working to bring peace in the world, bringing the world together as one people no matter what our religious beliefs are, or what country we are from or what color we are.

One loud voice to the world demanding peace. I put forward the challenge that every peace organization in the world, come up with a plan to unite as one, without losing any individuality of each organization, nor their own goals and visions, but to come up with a plan to bring us all together as one and use that power to address governments and politicians to move quicker toward peace, including hunger and disease help. My suggestion is a week of meetings, music and minds of all representatives from all over the world coming together at a summit. A summit For World Peace. Let's do it! This fits in with what I last discussed with you, Alan. I want to discuss this further with you and the rest of Musicians for Peace.

Alan, I accept your offer to participate on the board with your mission for World Peace. I'm ready to accept the Agreements from "The Rings of Empowerment," let's get the butterflies flying!
