Oct. 4, 2009.......Jade'an "Blue Jay" Jourden is writing a Song in his studio and gets a call from his girl friend he has been waiting for.....so he takes a break and takes her call.....this is a big call for he wants to ask her for a simple commitment over the phone till they get a chance to meet......they have never met in person yet and have become the best of friends over the phone and the net. She's a world renowned Artist and he the always struggling Cherokee AIM Peace Warrior Song Writer who's been playing various Activist Concerts for AIM, Woodstock Nuclear Opponents, and a sundry of other causes for years chasing his Dreams and following his Vision of a Better World Through Music.
They speak for a while, and he's a little nervous.......he's never done this before........so he's like a kid in high school asking his first girl to go steady.......they talk...and he pops the question.......she says "well what do you think this is..??.." affirming his hopes and they commit to each other over the phone......he's on cloud nine thousand and they finish the call and he goes back to writing the Song.
As he's writing....he's trying to make it a Love Song to her....and hits a wall.....he's getting tired.....he wants to go to bed.......he takes one more quick break....has a glass of water and picks up his guitar one more time for one last try for the night........he says to himself.......let me try something else.......maybe this isn't your "normal" Love Song he tells himself........and the direction instantly changes........suddenly he's not tired......the melody flows and comes to him.......the rhythm picks up.........the words are there....like they always are......out of the Mystic........off of the Wind.......and into his Heart........ and out of his mouth.....this is always as it has been......The Songs come to him......through him......he's more of a channel than a writer.........he has always known this...........This time the Song morphs mid creation into a Love Song for the World........ "WORLD FREEDOM SONG (Together We Are One)".
The next day.......coming home from business.....he opens his e-mails.....he spots an e-mail from Alan Moore.....he has been trying to join Alan and Musicians & Fine Artists for World Peace for a while now......and the very next day after writing the new Song....they finally hook up on My Space........Jade'an sees Alans' phone number......and before he even finishes reading the e-mail.......he feels compelled to call........which he does........Alan picks up the phone............and incredibly.........two very busy men........with never enough time in a day in their respective lives and careers.........talk like two old high school friends who haven't spoken in years........it was an amazing conversation......
Towards the end of the conversation.....Alan asks Jade'an......."well this has been nice speaking with you.......and what would you like from me..??...There never had been any specific intentional direction in the conversation when Jade'an called Alan....he just really wanted to find out about Alan's beloved organization and get involved with the Family. The Mystical thing is that when Alan asked Jade'an "what would you like from me..??.."....it was a question also from the Wind.........and the words just flowed.....
Un thought of....totally spontaneous......."I want to come to West Fest and debut this Song for the World"......
It was an unheard of request albiet innocent and benign.....ten days before an historic event when all the acts had been booked for weeks in advance.........and Alan's response was just as Spontaneous......he said...."send me the Song and I'll show it to Boots"........
The rest is history........Boots Hughston heard the Song.....gave it his blessings with the understanding that everyone would do the best they could to squeeze Jade'an into the line up at the last minute with no promises as to how long of a slot he might get.......Ten days later Jade'an is on stage with the AIM contingent during the opening performances and a part of the event......Jade'an is a Lifetime Member of AIM and actually met some very old AIM Brothers he hadn't seen in years and it was a real reunion.......
And that my friends is how I wrote a Song....began sharing it with the world through e-mails and mp3 demo copies.....and ended up on Stage at the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock "West Fest" 1969-2009 within ten days of writing it...........and began this journey I'm on today......we're in pre production for a video project/mini movie of the
Song with people worldwide contributing the video of people singing the Song in unison..........we already have international distribution lined up........and help is streaming in from across the board........the world is helping to create this video as a team.....my whole intention from the beginning when I conceived the concept......it is blessed.....
I want to personally thank Alan Moore, Boots Hughston, Mike Dingle, and West Fest 1969-2009 for doing this and helping this humble Cherokee Song Carrier.......I deeply appreciate your support and for what you all do as humanitarians and activists for the world.....you guys are true heroes.....I Love you Brothers.
