About Birgitta
Birgitta Westling was born and raised in Sweden. Because of her love and deep interest in children she became a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics. She has a special affinity for children, which extends into her everyday life. Birgitta has worked in hospitals and in private healthcare as well as in healthcare administration. She then gained valuable expertise working with the Human Awareness Institute of San Francisco. She assisted in the institute’s «Love, Intimacy and Sexuality» workshops focusing on relationships. Birgitta has had a lifelong interest in helping others to heal themselves emotionally. She is skilled in facilitating emotional release; she works intuitively and with humility.
Birgitta has been a Massage Therapist since 1987 and has practiced different massage techniques. She studied Swedish and Lymphatic Massage at the School of Shiatsu and Massage in Harbin Hot Springs in California where she lived for 10 years. She is also experienced in nutrition and heavy metal detoxification. For twenty years she has dedicated herself to learning and practicing in the fields of health and alternative medicine.
As of 2004, Birgitta studied and personally embraced the powerful therapeutic treatment called «The Journey – Le Voyage de Guérison» – A Short-Term Therapy – developed by Brandon Bays, UK. She now is an Accredited Journey Practitioner for adults and children 5+. Birgitta integrates into her therapy a whole range of healing methods such as «The Work» of Byron Katie (“Loving what is”) http://www.thework.com), N.L.P. (Neuro-Linguistic- Programming), Gestalt, Psycho-drama (Alejandro Jodorowsky, Paris) and Role-Play.
