An understanding of our sexual energy as a source of pleasure and sensation is just as vital to understanding our use of sexual energy in making babies. Though current western society on the whole has given great latitude for sexual expression as a function of pleasure independent of procreation, western religious ideologies, since their very inception, have pretty much continued to disassociate sexual energy with spiritual development. In contrast, early eastern religions, the major ones being Taoism that originated in China and Tantra in India, embraced the cultivation and integration of sexual energy as vital to spiritual growth. Unfortunately, these teachings have not so easily been easily accepted and appreciated by the western mind. But what if these teachings could be presented to the western mind in such a way that would be instructive, illuminating, and equally appealing to both men and woman alike? What if we could come to an understanding of our sexual energy that would benefit all aspects of our lives. What if we could consciously cultivate our sexual energy into a regular practice, as we currently do with diet and exercise, that would increase our physical, mental, and emotional well-being? While living in San Diego, she received extensive training in grief counseling at San Diego Hospice and Palliative Care and met her root teacher, Troma Rinpoche, at that time. She completed a two month long Yoga and Meditation teacher training program through the Yogic Medicine Institute in 2004. After completing this program, she moved to the Bay Area to pursue her doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where she has completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and steps into the final hurdles of her doctoral degree. Nandi was invited to give a presentation at the World Congress on Psychology and Spirituality in 2008 in Delhi, India. She participated in a panel discussion and presented her work on self-esteem and teachings of Vajrayana Buddhism, which she has been studying and practicing for seven years. Nandi also participated in several service projects on two different trips to India, volunteering time in a children’s orphanage through teaching yoga, computer skills and English. Also, while in India, she spent a month practicing yoga and meditation at the Divine Life Society Ashram and completed on pilgrimage to a Buddhist monastery in Manali, India. Currently, Nandi combines aspects of Vajrayana Buddhist meditation practices, Tantric Hatha Yoga, transformational coaching and her understanding of both Buddhist and Western psychology in her coaching practice and workshops. She brings a powerful presence, strong intuition, warmth and an easy, gentle energy to her coaching work. And, she is passionate about supporting clients through a combination of Eastern and Western approaches that have also had a tremendously positive impact on her own life.

Background
Water Breath was developed by LiOr Jacob at Passion University, where he conducted Passion Breath sessions in body-temperature water. Students loved it even more than land-based sessions. On land, the body holds itself up against gravity. In Water Breath, the muscles, joints, and internal organs relax due to the water’s and the helper’s support. The relieving pressure and the warmth of the water improve blood flow and lymphatic circulation. The synchronized breaths induce waves that harmonize the body systems. Students experienced a significant increase in both neuromuscular and neurorespiratory integration.
Passion Breath
Water Breath implements the principles of Passion Breath. When the breather is in Space-Breath, the body is in relaxed stillness supported by the helper, creating a deep meditative state. When the breather is in Flow-Breath, the body waves freely in the water, allowing for a natural and gradual opening of energy channels. When the breather is in Rapture-Breath, the body ripples in refined vibrations, allowing for powerful energies to move through the spine and the entire body. The fluid medium enables the breather to naturally move between physical, mental, and emotional states.
Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Healing The physiological changes and mental relaxation induces a liberating experience that also helps to go beyond preconceived limitations and constrictions. Unlike other aquatic healing modalities that are based on bodywork methods such as Shiatsu and massage, Water Breath is based on breathwork, which accesses more refined levels. Water Breath’s other uniqueness is that the helper’s main role is to be a supporting and nurturing container to the breather’s journey. The breather is the one who is actively breathing, stretching, and dancing effortlessly in the water. In other aquatic modalities, the breather is passive, and the practitioner actively does the bodywork. Water Breath thus helps students to develop their own independent mechanisms of self-healing, encourages the pure expression of their authentic passion, and connects them with their inner wisdom.
